About the Artist
Vania Soto (she/her) is a multidisciplinary visual artist, muralist, and curator based in the Kansas City metro area.
Her practice includes painting, large-scale murals, and community-based projects exploring identity, migration, matriarchal lineage, unity, and collective memory.
Soto centers Latino narratives through symbolic and figurative imagery, emphasizing art as a tool for healing and social connection.
Soto has exhibited at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and has a commissioned painting that will become part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Latino.
